Job summary

Stryker is seeking a Senior Principal Architect to lead the enterprise data and analytics architecture strategy across Azure and Databricks Lakehouse ecosystems. You will partner with engineering, business leaders, and vendor ecosystems to define the target state, set standards, and validate designs through working implementations.

You will own multi-year roadmaps, publish architecture blueprints, and drive architectural governance, ensuring secure, scalable data platforms while collaborating

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Business, or a related field.
• 10+ years of data engineering, data architecture, and analytics in global enterprises with Azure and Databricks.
• Experience architecting and implementing enterprise data platforms and batch/streaming pipelines.
• Experience with Azure, Azure Data Lake Storage, Databricks Spark, Delta Lake, Unity Catalog, Databricks Workflows or Delta Live Tables, Power BI.
• Experience defining and operationalizing enterprise architecture standards, reference architectures, and governance processes.
• Experience applying data security, privacy, and regulated-environment requirements (GxP, HIPAA, PII/PHI).

Responsibilities

• Define and own the enterprise reference architecture and multi-year roadmaps.
• Publish standards and reusable blueprints for lakehouse design and security.
• Co-chair architecture review board and manage design gates.
• Guide critical decisions with hands-on guidance and escalation handling.
• Design batch and streaming pipelines using Delta Live Tables, PySpark, and related tools.
