Job summary

Stryker is seeking a Principal Architect, EDT Data Platform Engineering to translate enterprise data architecture into scalable engineering solutions on the Azure and Databricks Lakehouse platform.

You will partner with delivery teams, business representatives, and data stewards to build governed data pipelines, analytics-ready models, and reusable automation that improves consistency across projects and teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS, Engineering, IS, Business or equivalent.
• 8+ years of data engineering/warehousing experience with Azure and Databricks Lakehouse.
• Experience with ADF, ADLS, Azure SQL, Databricks Delta Live Tables, Delta Lake, Spark, Workflows, Unity Catalog.
• Advanced PySpark/Python and SQL skills for batch and streaming pipelines.
• Experience with Azure DevOps pipelines, repositories, policies; PowerShell automation; CI/CD; IaC.
• Experience with data contracts, data quality frameworks, metadata-driven design, monitoring.

Responsibilities

• Translate enterprise data architecture into scalable Azure/Databricks solutions.
• Build governed data pipelines and analytics-ready models.
• Own CI/CD pipelines and automation for onboarding projects.
• Design star and snowflake data models and semantic layer mappings.
• Define and enforce data quality, schema validation, and data contracts.
