Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Senior Principal Cyber Software Engineer to develop and maintain advanced software systems. The role requires active TS/SCI with Polygraph and will perform in Annapolis Junction, MD, among other locations.

You will lead development, debugging, and integration efforts across Windows/UNIX environments. Responsibilities include designing software components, performing tests, and contributing to hardware/software tradeoffs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field; 7+ years of experience for degrees.
• Active TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance is required for start.
• Ability to analyze user requirements to derive software design and performance requirements.
• Experience debugging existing software and correcting defects.
• Develop and modify software using C/C++, Java, and Python; design complex systems.
• Experience with DevOps tools and CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Bamboo, Docker).

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and enhance complex software systems across domains.
• Review and test software components for adherence to design requirements.
• Resolve software problem reports and improve documentation and processes.
• Design, code, and integrate software with hardware and other systems.
• Lead teams and provide input on system design, performance, and tradeoffs.
• Develop data queries and interfaces for databases and repositories.
