Job summary

Baxter is seeking a Senior Principal Engineer to lead a Controls Engineering team and provide technical mentorship across projects. You will drive capacity analysis, process optimization, automation, and Lean validation efforts within manufacturing environments.

You will supervise 3-5 engineers, coordinate cross-functional work, and contribute to strategic innovation while guiding projects from concept through start-up and deployment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering required.
• 8+ years of experience in a similar role.
• 8+ years of Rockwell PLC experience.
• Servo control systems with Rockwell or similar.
• Ability to read and write electrical schematics.
• Hands-on mechanical experience.
• AutoCAD drafting proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Supervise 3-5 members of the Controls Engineering team.
• Provide day‑to‑day engineering support and technical mentorship.
• Analyze plant manufacturing capacity and optimize processes.
• Lead validation planning and execution using lean methods.
• Perform NCR/CAPA investigations and change control activities.
• Coordinate with multi-functional teams on new and existing product lines.
