Job summary

Baxter International Inc. in Kentucky seeks a Senior Principal Engineer to lead a Controls Engineering team, mentor staff, and drive capacity analysis, process optimization, and automation projects across the plant.

You will supervise 3-5 engineers, manage capital budgets, coordinate multi-functional projects, and ensure regulatory compliance while delivering robust, safe, and reliable manufacturing solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering required.
• 8+ years in a similar engineering role.
• 8+ years of Rockwell PLC experience.
• Servo control systems expertise and electrical schematics literacy.
• AutoCAD drafting and hands-on mechanical skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and execution of control system projects.
• Mentor and supervise 3–5 controls engineers.
• Drive capacity analysis, process optimization and automation.
• Coordinate with multi-functional teams; ensure GMP/regulatory alignment.
• Lead change control, validation planning and execution.
