Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Senior Principal Digital Hardware Engineer in the Baltimore/Linthicum area to design, model, analyze, and test digital circuit card assemblies. You'll collaborate with electrical, mechanical, manufacturing, and test teams to deliver secure, high‑reliability hardware for defense systems.

You will lead CCA design, perform SI/PI analyses, conduct DVT testing, and mentor junior designers. US Citizenship and active Secret clearance are required.

Qualifications

• 8 years of experience translating system performance and operational specifications into hardware requirements, design documentation, and test specifications.
• U.S. Citizenship is required and the candidate must hold an active U.S. Government Secret clearance.
• Experience with digital circuitry design, schematic creation, fabrication support, and debug of digital hardware.

Responsibilities

• Design, layout, routing, and schematic development for high-speed digital circuit card assemblies.
• Model routing and run signal and power integrity simulations to analyze performance.
• Test hardware (DVT) and debug/troubleshoot in the lab.
• Mentor junior designers and share best practices.
