Qualifications

• 15+ years of professional software or infrastructure engineering experience and a related degree.
• Deep architectural experience with large-scale cloud platforms and containerized workloads.
• Proven delivery of enterprise-scale continuous delivery and reliability practices.
• Experience with software supply chain security and run-time policy enforcement.

Responsibilities

• Own the north star architecture for cloud platform, CI/CD, and SRE.
• Set design principles enabling teams to make sound calls independently.
• Attach reliability targets to business outcomes and manage degradation strategies.
• Drive consensus across Platform, SRE, Security, and Product teams.
• Lead design reviews and scale SRE capabilities across the org.
• Identify industry trends and decide what Nordstrom should adopt.
• Act as technical decision maker during incidents and drive platform defaults.
