Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Principal/Sr Principal Cloud Engineer (AHT) to join our Space Systems Sector. The role can be based in Sacramento, CA, Aurora, CO, or Morrisville, NC, and requires active Top Secret clearance and CI Polygraph.

You will drive automation, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure management within an Agile team. You will define build and deployment standards, integrate development pipelines, and oversee security, monitoring, and provisioning across programs.

Qualifications

• Active Top Secret security clearance is required at time of application.
• Active CI Polygraph is required at time of application.
• U.S. Citizenship is required.
• Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of relevant experience; 3 years with a Master’s; 0 with a PhD; or 9 additional years in lieu of a degree.
• Bachelor’s degree with 8+ years for Sr. Principal; 6 years with Master’s; 4 with PhD; or 12 additional years in lieu of a degree
• Must have all of the following: AWS, Kubernetes, Terraform
• Current Security+ is required.
• Linux administration experience.
• Experience in an Agile software development framework.
• Experience with at least 3 of the preferred qualifications

Responsibilities

• Plan and evolve processes and infrastructure to support rapid capability maturation and deployment.
• Integrate development pipelines with automation, tests, and CI/CD frameworks.
• Define and implement build, deployment, provisioning, and monitoring standards.
• Ensure Software Configuration Management and code quality with automated testing in CI/CD.
• Work in an Agile team to automate deployment, monitoring, and infrastructure management.
• Set up delivery environments supporting CD/CI tools in Agile delivery.
• Create scripts/templates to automate provisioning and management tasks.
• Collaborate with development teams to automate CI/CD systems.
• Coordinate with vendors and IT staff for issue resolution.
• Monitor and support installed systems and infrastructure.
• Develop scripts to improve efficiency and reduce manual work.
• Contribute to information and operational support system design.
• Install, configure, test and maintain OS, apps, and management tools.
• Oversee security, backups, and redundancy strategies.
• Evaluate performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement solutions with developers.
