Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking an experienced Staff Cloud and DevOps Engineer to join our Space Systems Sector. You will drive automation, CI/CD, and scalable infrastructure across multiple sites including Morrisville, NC; Aurora, CO; and Sacramento, CA.

In this role you will partner with development teams to deliver rapid capability maturation, implement deployment pipelines, monitor systems, and ensure security and compliance in a high‑security environment.

Qualifications

• AWS, Kubernetes, Terraform proficiency required.
• Security+ certification preferred.
• Linux administration experience required.
• Agile software development experience.
• Experience with CI/CD tools and processes.

Responsibilities

• Plan and evolve processes and infrastructure for rapid capability maturation.
• Integrate development pipelines with automated testing and CI/CD frameworks.
• Define build, deployment, provisioning, and monitoring standards.
• Ensure SCM, code quality, and code coverage with automated testing.
• Work with Agile teams to automate deployment and infrastructure management.
• Build and configure environments supporting CD/CI tools.
• Create scripts to automate provisioning and management tasks.
• Collaborate with vendors and IT for issue resolution.
• Monitor and support installed systems and infrastructure.
• Develop scripts to increase efficiency and reduce manual tasks.
• Oversee security, backup, and redundancy strategies.
• Evaluate application performance and resolve bottlenecks.
