Job summary

Northrop Grumman in the United States is seeking an experienced Staff DevOps Engineer to join our Space Systems Sector. This role can be based in Aurora, CO, Morrisville, NC or Sacramento, CA, and requires active Top Secret clearance with SCI access.

You will plan and evolve infrastructure, automate CI/CD pipelines, and work within an Agile team to deliver rapid capability maturation and deployment, ensuring security and configuration management across Linux environments.

Qualifications

• United States Citizenship is required.
• Must have an active U.S. Government Top Secret security clearance with SCI access.
• Bachelor’s degree with 12+ years of relevant experience; 10 years with a Master’s; 8 years with a PhD; or 9 additional years of experience in lieu of a degree.
• Must have all of the following: AWS, Kubernetes, Terraform
• Current Security+ certification
• Administration experience with Linux or related operating systems.
• Experience in an Agile software development framework.

Responsibilities

• Plan and evolve processes and infrastructure to support rapid capability maturation and deployment.
• Integrate development pipelines with test-driven development tools and CI/CD frameworks.
• Define and implement build, deployment, provisioning, and monitoring standards for the program.
• Ensure SCM, code quality, and code coverage with automated testing for CI/CD pipelines.
• Work with an Agile team to deliver end-to-end automation of deployment, monitoring, and infrastructure management.
• Build delivery environments supporting CD/CI tools using Agile methods.
• Create scripts to automate infrastructure provisioning and management tasks.
• Collaborate with development teams to automate CI/CD systems.
• Coordinate with vendors and IT staff for problem resolution.
• Monitor and support all installed systems and infrastructure.
• Develop scripts to increase system efficiency and reduce human intervention time.
