Job summary

Northrop Grumman’s Space Systems Sector is seeking a Principal or Sr Principal Cloud Engineer (AHT) to advance automated cloud infrastructure and deployment capabilities. The role supports multiple locations including Aurora, CO, Morrisville, NC and Sacramento, CA, working within an Agile team to deliver rapid capability maturation.

You will define build/deploy standards, implement automated pipelines, and collaborate with development and IT teams to optimize performance and security.

Qualifications

• Active U.S. Government Top Secret clearance required.
• Active CI Polygraph required at time of application.
• United States Citizenship required.
• Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of relevant experience; 3 years with a Master’s; 0 years with a PhD; or 9 additional years of experience in lieu of a degree.
• Sr. Principal: Bachelor’s degree with 8+ years of relevant experience; 6 years with a Master’s; 4 years with a PhD; or 12 additional years of experience in lieu of a degree.
• Must have AWS, Kubernetes, Terraform.
• Current Security+ certification is required.
• Experience with Linux/UNIX administrations.
• Experience in an Agile software development framework.
• Experience with at least 3 of the preferred qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Plan and evolve processes and infrastructure to support rapid capability maturation and deployment.
• Integrate development pipelines with automation and CI/CD frameworks.
• Define and implement build, deployment, provisioning, and monitoring standards.
• Ensure SCM, code quality, and test coverage in CI/CD pipelines.
• Work in an Agile team to automate deployment, monitoring, and infrastructure management.
• Create scripts to automate provisioning and management tasks.
• Collaborate with development teams for CI/CD systems.
• Coordinate with vendors and IT staff for problem resolution.
• Monitor and support all installed systems and infrastructure.
