Job summary

Samsara, a public company pioneering the Connected Operations Cloud, is hiring a Principal Business Systems Analyst. You’ll own cross-functional programs, define problem spaces, and set standards for requirements and systems thinking across Core IT.

You'll collaborate with IT leadership and business stakeholders to shape architecture, processes, and organizational design, while driving end-to-end program delivery and mentoring teammates in a remote-first, globally distributed environment.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of business systems analysis, strategy, or architecture experience at a large-scale organization.
• Ability to define problem spaces, build requirements frameworks, and advise senior leadership.
• Experience with data management and analysis, process design, and controls (SOX/GDPR-like exposure not required).

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end delivery of Core IT's high-impact projects and programs across multiple systems.
• Define problem space and advise IT leadership on broader classes of problems and solutions.
• Build requirements practices, frameworks, and standards adopted by analysts and teams.
• Act as trusted advisor to IT leadership on organizational design, systems architecture, and process strategy.
• Manage engagement with the business: gather requirements, coordinate resources, plan timelines, communicate with stakeholders.
• Drive operational excellence with understanding of IT engineering, support, and performance metrics.
• Develop, evaluate, and refine business processes and scale improvements.
• Mentor analysts and engineers to grow scope and independence.
• Champion Samsara’s cultural principles and scale globally and across offices.
