Job summary

Stellarus is seeking a Senior Principal Architect to shape reusable services, integrations, and production-ready architectures across payer, provider, pharma, and partner workflows.

The role is the technical authority for application architecture across the platform, with deep hands-on involvement in code, system design, and deployment tradeoffs. Hybrid in-office two days weekly, building marketplaces and scalable services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or High School Diploma/GED with 4 years of additional relevant experience.
• 12+ years of software engineering or related technical experience.
• Extensive experience setting architecture direction for enterprise-scale distributed systems.
• Expert knowledge of microservices, API ecosystems, event-driven architecture, and platform services.
• Strong hands-on engineering background discussing code structure, service design, and deployment.

Responsibilities

• Set enterprise-level architecture direction for distributed systems.
• Design and oversee integration patterns, vendor integrations, and marketplace capabilities.
• Lead complex technical decision-making across engineering, product, security, and operations without management authority.
• Mentor staff and principal-level engineers and architects.
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA/security considerations where applicable.
