Job summary

Stellarus is seeking a Senior Principal Architect to steer enterprise-scale application architecture across its platform. You’ll influence design, drive reusable services, and guide vendor integrations that power payer, provider, pharma, and partner workflows.

The role emphasizes hands-on coding and production tradeoffs, with equality between architecture direction and engineering execution. Hybrid work requires in-office presence two days weekly.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent with 4+ years of relevant experience.
• 12+ years of software engineering or architecture experience.
• Experience directing architecture for enterprise-scale distributed systems.
• Expert in microservices, API ecosystems, and event-driven design.
• Hands-on engineering background; comfortable with code, deployment, and prod trades.
• Experience in cloud environments (Azure preferred; AWS/GCP transferable).
• Strong API/data architecture judgment (REST, OpenAPI, PostgreSQL).
• Ability to influence across teams without formal management authority.

Responsibilities
