Job summary

Inotiv is seeking a senior primate behavior program specialist to advance a nonhuman primate enrichment and breeding strategy. You will collaborate with veterinary and behavioral teams to promote well‑being, manage social groups, and develop weaning protocols.

Responsibilities include enrichment planning, temperament assessments, training via positive reinforcement, and supporting AAALAC program documentation. Strong communication and independence are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; combination of education and experience may be considered.
• LATG certification preferred; strong understanding of welfare and care standards.
• 8+ years of professional experience with old-world primates; behavioral study 2–3+ years.

Responsibilities

• Implement and improve environmental enrichment for nonhuman primates.
• Manage macaque breeding programs and social group dynamics.
• Develop weaning, enrichment, and housing strategies; document plans.
• Coordinate with veterinary/behavioral teams; participate in IACUC and audits.
• Prepare reports, SOP revisions, and client communications.
