Job summary

Inotiv in Alice, TX seeks a pet/study team member to support rhesus nonhuman primate colonies. You will work with the colony veterinarian, breeding coordinators and animal care staff to monitor health, welfare and conduct routine procedures.

You will lead nursery activities, assist with anesthesia, simple surgeries, sample collection, and ensure accurate records for regulatory compliance and audits.

Qualifications

• Six months of experience in a laboratory or veterinary setting preferred.
• AALAS Laboratory Animal Technologist certification desirable.
• Proficient with Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Support rhesus nonhuman primate colonies in Alice, TX.
• Monitor animal health and welfare with veterinary staff.
• Maintain nursery activities and daily infant care.
• Ensure accurate clinical records and data documentation.
• Mentor staff and participate in training initiatives.
• Assist with surgeries, anesthesia, and diagnostic sample handling.
• Participate in audits and regulatory compliance.
