Job summary

Cox Automotive in Phoenix is seeking an analytical pricing analyst to design and implement pricing strategies for logistics and transportation, translating data into actionable insights and building automated tools.

You will collaborate with Sales, Finance, and Operations, develop predictive pricing models using SQL, Power BI, and Excel, and present recommendations to senior leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field with 2 years of experience, or a master's with up to 2 years, or 6 years' experience with no degree.
• Experience with database platforms such as Oracle or SQL Server.
• Experience with data visualization tools like Power BI or Tableau.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to translate data into business insights.
• Ability to tell a story with data to diverse audiences.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute pricing strategies to balance profitability, market share, and retention.
• Build and maintain predictive pricing models using SQL, Excel, or data visualization tools.
• Partner with Sales, Finance, and Operations to support strategic objectives with pricing.
• Determine pricing optimizations based on customer segments, geography, competition, and value drivers.
• Analyze industry trends, capacity and competitor behaviors to adjust pricing frameworks and bids.
• Monitor pricing health and provide data-informed insights and corrective actions.
• Design automated pricing tools, dashboards, and APIs to streamline quoting.
• Conduct what-if and sensitivity analyses on market changes and costs.
• Present data-driven recommendations and pricing performance to senior leadership.
