Job summary

Acrisure is seeking an actuary to join the Underwriting analytics team to build pricing models, refine methodologies, and leverage data to shape pricing strategies. You will partner with underwriters, engineers, and brokers to drive data-driven decisions and deliver impactful insights.

The role emphasizes on-site collaboration, modern actuarial workflows, and a healthy focus on automation and business outcomes. The candidate should have a FCAS/ACAS credential and strong data and coding skills.

Qualifications

• FCAS/ACAS credential with ~5-10 years of P&C pricing experience.
• Proficient in Python and SQL for modeling and automation.
• Advanced Excel skills to complement your coding toolkit.
• Excellent communicator—skilled at distilling complex analyses into clear business insights.
• Self-starter comfortable in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.

Responsibilities

• Pricing & Indications: Build and maintain actuarial pricing models; prepare and present indication reports.
• Methodology Enhancement: Refine and optimize pricing methodologies to improve profitability and competitiveness.
• Analytics & Automation: Leverage Python, SQL (and advanced Excel) to streamline processes, automate tasks, and extract actionable insights.
• Data Exploration: Work with large, complex datasets to identify trends, emerging exposures, and business opportunities.
• Cross‑Functional Collaboration: Engage underwriters, claims professionals, program teams, and reinsurance brokers to translate analyses into business recommendations.
• Reporting & Visualization: Create dashboards and presentations that convey data-driven stories to stakeholders and reinsurers.
• Process Improvement: Identify and implement efficiency gains across the actuarial workflow.
