Job summary

Acrisure is seeking an actuary in our on-site Pittsburgh-area team to build pricing models and drive data-driven pricing strategies. You will collaborate with underwriters and engineers to refine methodologies, automate processes in Python/SQL, and present findings to carriers and reinsurers.

This role blends analytics with actionable business insights in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment. Strong FCAS/ACAS credentials and 5–10 years of P&C pricing experience are required.

Qualifications

• FCAS/ACAS credential with ~5-10 years of P&C pricing experience.
• Solid track record in actuarial pricing, indications, and data analysis.
• Hands-on proficiency in Python and SQL for both modeling and automation.
• Advanced Excel skills to complement your coding toolkit.

Responsibilities

• Pricing & Indications: Build and maintain actuarial pricing models; prepare and present indication reports.
• Methodology Enhancement: Refine and optimize pricing methodologies to improve profitability and competitiveness.
• Analytics & Automation: Leverage Python, SQL (and advanced Excel) to streamline processes, automate tasks, and extract actionable insights.
• Data Exploration: Work with large, complex datasets to identify trends, emerging exposures, and business opportunities.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Engage underwriters, claims professionals, program teams, and reinsurance brokers to translate analyses into business recommendations.
• Reporting & Visualization: Create dashboards and presentations that sell our story to stakeholders and reinsurers.
• Process Improvement: Identify and implement efficiency gains across the actuarial workflow.
