Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Principal/Senior Principal Price/Cost Proposal Analyst to join our Global Supply Chain team in California. On-site roles in El Segundo, Palmdale, or Rancho Bernardo require evaluating supplier proposals and preparing PCARs, with close collaboration across Contracts, Engineering, and Program Management.

The role emphasizes complex analysis, SAP familiarity, and a Secret clearance, with opportunities to handle diverse contract types and support negotiations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, economics, engineering, or related discipline with 5 years of related experience; or master’s degree with 3 years related experience.
• Must have knowledge of statistical and forecasting concepts and techniques.
• Must have proficiency with MS Office Suite, specifically Excel and Word.
• Active U.S. Government Secret or higher clearance (with background investigation completed within the last 5 years or currently enrolled into Continuous Evaluation).

Responsibilities

• Perform a price and cost analysis to evaluate the direct and indirect labor rates, overheads, G&A, cost of money, and other factors.
• Conduct cost estimating/pricing reviews and analysis in accordance with industry practices and customer requirements.
• Research market/historical data and develop cost estimating models to evaluate price reasonableness.
• Interface with engineers to integrate technical evaluations into cost analysis when appropriate.
• Prepare data for Supply Chain Management review to establish negotiation objective positions.
