Aston Carter is seeking an experienced Price/Cost Analyst V for the Poway, CA area with potential remote work aligned to Pacific Standard Time hours. You will analyze data, develop independent price and cost recommendations, and support negotiations with customers and suppliers.

The role emphasizes statutory compliance with FAR/DFARS, cost modeling, and participation in pricing reviews. Requires 15+ years in finance, govt contracting, and strong Excel skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, systems engineering, mathematics, or business administration or equivalent experience.
• Fifteen+ years of experience in finance, accounting, business analytics, manufacturing estimating, or data analysis.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including data analysis and cost models.
• Strong costing and pricing concepts and standard practices.
• Experience in government contracting and interfacing with DCAA.
• Knowledge of FAR, DFARS, and CAS regulations.
• Strong analytical, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Ability to identify issues, analyze data, and develop solutions.
• Familiarity with government procurement processes.

Responsibilities

• Analyze statistical and proposal data to develop price and cost recommendations.
• Compile and analyze source data from government or commercial databases.
• Interface with internal groups and outside vendors for information.
• Perform detailed analysis of supplier proposals to validate costs.
• Conduct fact-finding at supplier locations and review estimates.
• Audit direct/indirect rates to formulate rate recommendations.
• Perform regression analysis for learning or quantity variance.
• Assess reasonableness of proposed costs and pricing.
• Interpret FAR/DFARS regulations in relevant pricing work.
• Develop and maintain cost models and prepare reports and charts.
• Participate in cost and pricing reviews with management, customers, suppliers.
• Contribute to development and training of staff.
• Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
• Ensure compliance with laws and regulations.
