Job summary

Aston Carter is seeking a Price/Cost Analyst V to join our team in Poway, CA, with potential remote work aligning to PST. You will analyze data to develop independent price and cost recommendations for negotiations with customers and suppliers, interfacing with internal teams and vendors to gather information and validate cost elements.

The role requires extensive experience in finance and cost modeling, knowledge of FAR/DFARS, and strong analytical and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field.
• 15+ years in finance, accounting, analytics, or data analysis.
• Excel proficiency with data analysis and live cost models.
• Understanding of costing, pricing concepts, and standard practices.
• Experience with government contracting and audit interfaces (DCAA).
• Knowledge of FAR, DFARS, and CAS regulations.
• Strong analytical, verbal and written communication.

Responsibilities

• Analyze statistical and proposal data to develop independent price and cost recommendations for negotiations.
• Compile and analyze data from government or commercial databases to establish price and cost positions.
• Interface with internal groups and vendors to gather information.
• Review supplier proposals and cost elements for labor and materials.
