Job summary

Selective Insurance is seeking a Premium Auditor to perform in-person and virtual audits on Commercial Lines under limited supervision, with remote work options. You will review insured operations, financial data, and classifications to ensure accurate earned premiums and compliant audits.

The role requires travel within the territory (about 70–80%), strong Excel and data skills, and clear communication with underwriting and clients.

Qualifications

• College degree in Insurance, Accounting, Finance or related field preferred.
• 3+ years' experience as a physical Premium Auditor.
• Associate in Premium Auditing 91 (APA 91) and Associate in Premium Auditing 92 (APA 92) desirable.

Responsibilities

• Manage and conduct physical and virtual audits for Commercial Lines policies.
• Plan territory and inventory to optimize efficiencies; travel 70–80% to insureds.
• Notify underwriting of changes in exposures and classifications after audits.
• Respond to and resolve audit disputes and prepare amended audits for billing.
• Serve as a resource and mentor for Premium Auditors.
