Job summary

Selective Insurance is seeking a Premium Auditor to perform in-person and virtual audits of Commercial Lines policies. The role operates under limited supervision and is remote with substantial travel (70–80%) to insureds’ locations within the territory.

Responsibilities include auditing data, exposures, and classifications, coordinating with underwriting, and resolving audit disputes. 3+ years’ experience and APA certifications are preferred.

Qualifications

• College degree in Insurance, Accounting, Finance or related field preferred.
• 3+ years' experience as a physical Premium Auditor.
• APA 91 and APA 92 desirable.

Responsibilities

• Audit Commercial Lines policies in-person or virtually; determine premium basis and classifications.
• Schedule territory audits and travel 70–80% within territory.
• Notify underwriting of exposure changes post-audit and resolve disputes.
• Mentor Premium Auditors and contribute to training programs.
• Utilize premium audit systems and tools to complete assignments.
