Job summary

Selective Insurance in Denver, CO, is seeking a seasoned Premium Auditor to perform in-person and virtual audits on Commercial Lines policies, ensuring accurate earned premiums and proper classifications. Travel 70-80% within territory.

You will collaborate with underwriting, resolve disputes, and contribute to training and mentoring of junior auditors while leveraging Excel and other systems.

Qualifications

• Stay informed with insurance manuals and premium audit materials.
• Ability to communicate effectively and work independently.
• Proficiency in Excel and internet research tools.
• Able to climb stairs and lift 20 pounds.
• Willingness to travel to insureds' offices within territory.
• Valid state driver's license in good standing.

Responsibilities

• Manage, schedule and conduct physical/virtual audits for Commercial Lines policies.
• Manage and schedule territory and inventory to optimize efficiencies; travel 70-80%.
• Notify underwriting team of changes in exposures, operations, products/services.
• Respond to audit disputes and revise audits; prepare amended audits for billing.
• Maintain positive relationships with internal and external customers.
• Utilize premium audit systems to complete assignments.
• Develop and maintain knowledge of premium audit policies and procedures.
• Assist or lead Premium Audit projects; present technical material to clients.
• Serve as a resource, trainer and mentor for Premium Auditors.
