Job summary

Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Branch Premier Banker in California to acquire affluent customers and deepen partnerships, delivering tailored banking and credit strategies. You will partner with Wealth, Home Lending, and Business Banking teams to grow a defined book through planning and risk oversight.

You will lead discovery conversations, educate clients on self-service channels, and ensure accurate documentation while adhering to policies. Licensing and background checks are required.

Qualifications

  • 4+ years of customer service experience, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, or education
  • 3+ years of experience building and maintaining effective relationships with customers and partners
  • 3+ years of experience recommending products and services
  • Ability to work a schedule that will include most Saturdays
  • FINRA Series 6 and Series 63, or FINRA-recognized equivalents, active or completed within a designated timeframe
  • Securities Industry Essentials (SIE) exam required for FINRA qualification exams earned after September 30, 2018
  • FINRA Series 65, or equivalent, required within a specified period in designated states
  • State Insurance license(s), active or completed within a designated timeframe
  • Required FINRA licenses must be obtained and maintained for continued employment
  • Enhanced financial fitness and criminal background standards
  • SAFE registration required at the time of employment
  • Loan Originators must meet LO/CFPB requirements
  • Compliance with Wells Fargo policies and standards related to financial responsibility, character, fitness, and criminal background
  • Position is not eligible for Visa sponsorship
  • Desired: experience recommending financial products and translating customer goals into recommendations
  • Desired: experience sourcing, acquiring, and deepening relationships through outreach and internal partnerships
  • Desired: experience managing a book of business and documenting planning conversations
  • Desired: experience coaching or supporting peers

Responsibilities

  • Lead discovery-driven conversations to understand customer goals and deliver tailored banking and credit strategies
  • Serve as the primary financial partner, providing comprehensive multi-product guidance and ongoing reviews
  • Grow and manage a defined book of business using goals-based planning and prudent risk oversight
  • Deliver integrated solutions across deposits, investments, credit, home lending, and business banking
  • Coordinate warm introductions and partner with Wealth, Home Lending, and Business Banking teams
  • Convert qualified opportunities into closed outcomes
  • Educate customers on self-service and mobile banking options
  • Handle everyday banking needs, including opening accounts and service requests
  • Advise branch colleagues on relationship development and complex client needs
  • Maintain accurate documentation, exercise sound judgment, escalates issues, and adhere to policies and regulations
  • Complete licensing and SAFE registration requirements to transition from the temporary LP role to the Senior Branch Premier Banker (SAFE) role
