Job summary

Jobtailor is hiring a Senior Branch Premier Banker in the San Jose area to serve as the primary financial partner for affluent clients. You will guide customers on deposits, lending, investments, and home/business banking while developing a defined book of business.

The role requires licensing (FINRA Series 6/63, SIE) and insurance credentials, with a focus on proactive outreach, cross-team collaboration, and ongoing reviews to ensure tailored financial solutions.

Job description

• Acquire new affluent consumer and business customers through strategic outreach, referrals, and appointments
• Deepen existing customer relationships through discovery-driven conversations
• Understand customer goals and deliver tailored banking and credit strategies
• Serve as the primary financial partner with comprehensive, multi-product guidance and ongoing reviews
• Manage and actively grow a defined book of business
• Deliver solutions across deposits, investments, credit, home lending, and business banking
• Coordinate warm introductions and collaborate with Wealth, Home Lending, and Business Banking partners
• Educate customers on self-service and mobile banking options
• Advise branch colleagues on relationship development and complex client needs
• Maintain accurate documentation, exercise sound judgment, exercise sound judgment, exercise?
• Complete licensing and SAFE registration requirements to transition from the temporary LP role to Senior Branch Premier Banker (SAFE)

Requirements

• 4+ years of customer service experience, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, or education
• 3+ years of experience building and maintaining effective relationships with customers and partners
• 3+ years of experience recommending products and services
• Experience recommending financial products and translating customer goals into clear, actionable recommendations
• Experience proactively sourcing, acquiring, and deepening relationships through outreach and internal partnerships
• Experience managing a book-of-business, documenting planning conversations, and driving retention and growth across deposits, lending, and investments
• Experience coaching or supporting peers
• Financial services industry experience in consumer, home lending, business banking, or investments
• 3+ years of experience in a licensed financial services position
• FINRA Series 6 and 63 exams or FINRA-recognized equivalents sufficient to qualify for immediate FINRA registration
• State Insurance license(s)
• SIE exam required for FINRA qualifications earned after September 30, 2018
• FINRA Series 65 or equivalent required within a specified period for hires in listed states
• SAFE registration required at the time of employment
• Must meet enhanced financial fitness and criminal background standards
• Loan Originators must meet LO/CFPB requirements
• Must be able to work a schedule including most Saturdays
• Position is not eligible for Visa sponsorship
