Job summary

Barry-Wehmiller Design Group in Alpharetta, GA seeks a Preconstruction Manager to develop and maintain an effective preconstruction program, budgets, and schedules for industrial projects. You will establish vendor and subcontractor prequalification, master bid documents, and procurement strategies, while coordinating with Partners on estimates and early project planning.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in Construction Management or related field with 10 years in cost and schedule management,

Qualifications

10 years of experience in cost and project schedule management for industrial construction.
5+ years on-site construction management for industrial/commercial projects.
OSHA 30-hour Construction certification.

Responsibilities

Preconstruction: develop master estimates and cost data; maintain vendor lists.
Planning: assist in initial estimates and schedules with project leadership.
Procurement: support bid lists and subcontractor scopes; review contracts.
Project Management: update estimates, monitor critical dates, oversee procurement.
Quality Control: supervise QC activities and budget vs. actuals.
Managerial: evaluate staff and contribute to operations manual.
