Job summary

The Weitz Company is seeking a Senior Pre-Construction Manager to support our Denver, CO office. You will lead the full preconstruction process, develop accurate estimates, and guide transition to construction to deliver client goals.

Ideal candidates bring 6+ years of estimating or project management experience, strong leadership, and a track record in fast-paced environments. BIM/LEED knowledge is valued; data center experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 years of estimating and/or project management construction experience.
• Experience in a fast-paced environment.
• Proven history of leading others and mentoring.
• Data center experience is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Build, nurture, and maintain strong relationships with clients and design teams to support business development.
• Lead and manage the full preconstruction process including estimating, scheduling, constructability reviews, and value analysis.
• Provide accurate conceptual and detailed estimates, including feasibility studies and subcontractor engagement.
• Oversee design-phase progress; ensure deliverables align with scope and budget.
• Identify and mitigate project risks through contract language and market analysis.
• Integrate BIM, LEED, Lean strategies to enhance project delivery.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with internal departments for timely input.
• Prepare and maintain preconstruction and construction schedules.
• Ensure smooth transition from preconstruction to construction with handoffs.
