The Weitz Company is seeking a Sr. Pre-Construction Manager to support our Denver, CO office. You will lead the full preconstruction process, from estimating to handoff, ensuring alignment with client goals and budget.

Strong leadership, communication, and a focus on value engineering are essential. Responsibilities include managing schedules, coordinating cross‑functional teams, and mentoring staff while advancing BIM/Lean strategies to enhance project delivery.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 years’ estimating or project management construction experience.
• Experience in a fast-paced environment and leading others.
• Proven ability to mentor and develop teams.
• Data center experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the full preconstruction process: estimating, scheduling, constructability reviews, value analysis.
• Build and maintain client relationships to support business development and repeat work.
• Prepare accurate conceptual and detailed estimates, feasibilities, and cost comparisons.
• Oversee design-phase progression; align deliverables with scope and budget.
• Identify project risks and mitigate through contract and market analysis.
• Integrate BIM, LEED and Lean strategies to improve delivery and satisfaction.
• Coordinate with internal departments for timely input on preconstruction activities.
• Manage preconstruction and construction schedules; address delays or cost impacts.
• Ensure smooth transition from preconstruction to construction during handoff.
• Lead client presentations on building systems, estimates, and value engineering.
• Stay current with construction trends, regulations, and best practices.
