Job summary

Rising Edge Group in Dallas is seeking a seasoned Preconstruction Manager to lead the early phase of large-scale electrical projects, coordinating budgets, schedules and risk management to set a solid execution foundation.

You will collaborate with clients, designers, and subcontractors, develop robust preconstruction documents, and drive proactive communication to ensure project objectives are met on time and within budget.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business administration, construction management, or related field.
• Minimum of 10 years’ experience in preconstruction, construction or project management.
• Experience in electrical or utility construction is highly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of project management principles and practices.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to travel up to 20% across North America.

Responsibilities

• Lead the preconstruction process from initial project conception through construction kickoff.
• Develop project budgets, schedules and risk management plans by analyzing documents.
• Coordinate and facilitate pre-bid meetings with team members and stakeholders.
• Collaborate with design team to review documents and client requirements.
• Present preconstruction reports detailing scope, budget and timeline.
• Assist in post-bid activities, including negotiations with contractors and suppliers.
• Support continuous improvement in estimating, budgeting, and planning; travel as required.
