Job summary

Big-D Mission Critical in Salt Lake City, UT seeks a dynamic Preconstruction Manager to lead the preconstruction process for data center projects. This senior role oversees estimating, design coordination, and risk assessment, guiding teams and coordinating with owners, designers, and subs to set projects up for success.

You will mentor staff, optimize schedules, and present findings to clients and executives, balancing cost, scope, and schedule while maintaining strong relationships.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Construction Management preferred.
• 8+ years in preconstruction as Sr. Estimator, Chief Estimator, or PM.

Responsibilities

• Oversees the estimating process.
• Sets the project up for overall success.
• Develops and maintains pre-construction schedule.
• Maintains strong relationships with owner, designer, and subs.
• Lead contact with client and architect.
• Ensures smooth transition from pre-construction to construction.
• Transmits estimates and summaries to owners/architects in clear formats.
