Design Hire LLC is seeking a Preconstruction Manager to drive early project planning, budgeting, and cost strategy for complex commercial construction projects. You will translate concepts into reliable cost projections and actionable plans while collaborating with estimating, operations, and leadership teams.

Experience with data centers and mission-critical facilities is highly valued as the organization continues to deliver technically demanding projects.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in preconstruction, estimating, or project controls.
• Data center or mission-critical facility experience preferred.
• Ability to develop accurate budgets during early project development.
• Strong financial and analytical skills to assess cost drivers and risks.
• Proficiency in Excel for financial modeling and forecasting.

Responsibilities

• Lead preconstruction planning from concept through budget development and feasibility.
• Prepare detailed construction cost estimates, conceptual budgets, and pricing models.
• Develop project schedules and identify critical milestones and delays.
• Manage RFPs, coordinate bids, perform bid leveling, and evaluate pricing.
• Prepare cost and cash flow forecasts and maintain budgets using Excel and Procore.
