Job summary

Big-D Mission Critical in Salt Lake City, UT is seeking a Sr. Estimator to join our growing team. The role requires a Bachelor's degree in construction management or engineering and 5+ years of estimating experience on data centers or mission-critical projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or similar field.
• 5+ years as an Estimator in construction, preferably on data centers or mission-critical projects.
• Construction field experience is preferred; knowledge of Utah subcontractor market is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Defines work scope and selects subcontractors with Preconstruction Manager.
• Develops relationships with subcontractors and manages bid decisions.
• Proficient in quantity takeoffs and organizing estimates in Timberline.
• Hard bid project experience and organizing bid day scopes.
• Proficient in conceptual estimating in Timberline (CM Process).
• Understand CPM scheduling and translate to construction budget; communicate with subs.
• Know labor productivity rates, unit costs, and SF cost for building types.
• Collaborate on design-build concepts and VE sessions.
• Call subcontractors and develop interest in projects; participate in forecast meetings.
