Journey Group in Sioux Falls, SD is seeking a Senior Preconstruction Manager to lead the preconstruction team, guiding the project setup from concept through final pricing. You will partner with clients and designers to ensure alignment on scope, cost, and schedule.

This leadership role requires strong client-facing skills, deep knowledge of costs, schedules, and constructability, and a track record of delivering multiple projects simultaneously.

Qualifications

• Requires a degree in CM/Engineering/Architecture or related field.
• 8–15 years of experience in preconstruction, estimating, or PM.
• Proven experience leading teams and managing multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor the preconstruction team across multiple projects.
• Oversee estimating, budgeting, scheduling, procurement, and risk assessment.
• Partner with owners, architects, engineers, and trade partners to align scope, cost, and schedule.
• Serve as the primary client contact during preconstruction.
• Drive value analysis and alternative solutions considering cost, schedule, and lifecycle impacts.
• Lead project interviews and preconstruction strategy discussions.
• Identify project risks early and develop mitigation strategies.
• Continuously improve preconstruction processes and best practices.
