Job summary

Innate is seeking a Preconstruction Manager to lead estimating, scope development, and value engineering for residential remodel and new construction projects. You will collaborate with design and construction teams, conduct site assessments, develop budgets, and present proposals that instill homeowner confidence in their investment.

Responsibilities include site visits, detailed cost estimates, and helping sales with technical expertise throughout client consultations.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of preconstruction or estimating experience in residential construction.
• Proficiency in estimating software (Xactimate, Bluebeam, or similar).
• Strong understanding of residential construction methods, materials, and costs.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Outstanding communication and presentation abilities.

Responsibilities

• Conduct site visits and assessments for prospective remodel and new construction projects.
• Develop detailed cost estimates and project budgets.
• Lead value engineering efforts to align client vision with budget reality.
• Prepare and present proposals and bid packages to clients.
• Collaborate with designers and project managers on scope development.
• Analyze subcontractor bids and negotiate pricing.
• Maintain and improve estimating templates, databases, and processes.
• Support the sales team with technical expertise during client consultations.
