Job summary

SL Recruit seeks a Lead Estimator to guide the full preconstruction and bidding process for commercial projects. You will blend quantity takeoffs, market pricing, and bid oversight while mentoring junior estimators and partnering with operations.

Responsibilities include analyzing plans, developing budgets from concept through GMP, evaluating subcontractor proposals, and preparing bid packages aligned with client requirements.

• Analyze plans, specifications, and addenda to determine complete scope and risks.
• Develop detailed estimates from conceptual through GMP/bid stages.
• Solicit, scope, and evaluate subcontractor and vendor proposals; level bids.
• Prepare complete bid packages and clarifications per client requirements.
• Lead, train, and mentor estimators and preconstruction staff.
• Coordinate with operations, scheduling, and field teams to align estimates with means and durations.
• Build relationships with key subcontractors and suppliers to improve coverage and pricing.
