Job summary

Shimizu North America is seeking a Pre-Construction Manager to lead estimating efforts for design/build and hard bids, coordinating Marketing, Estimating, and Design Managers, and organizing preconstruction records.

You will oversee subcontractor solicitation, develop bid strategies, review proposals, manage risk, schedule preconstruction activities, and assist with subcontract purchasing. 15+ years of field and management experience preferred.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of combined field and management experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead estimation and design teams for the estimates and proposals.
• Identify and solicit subcontractors for preconstruction pursuits.
• Create preliminary project schedules considering design, permits, procurement, and construction activities.
• Review design documents for scope items with cost implications and update internal documents.
• Coordinate with team members to include fringe scopes and manage bid day communications.
• Assist with purchasing and issuance of subcontracts and purchase orders.
• Assist marketing & business development with project proposals.
