Job summary

Gilbane is seeking a highly technical Preconstruction Manager to lead the design/preconstruction phase of multiple projects and act as a proxy Project Executive when required. You will oversee estimating, scheduling, risk management and collaboration across design and procurement teams.

You will mentor a team, align with client expectations and drive constructability reviews while maintaining schedule and cost controls throughout the design phase.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or similar technical field.
• 5–7 years of experience leading operations, procurement, estimating, scheduling, or supply chain teams.
• 2–5 years of experience in construction management industry or A/E industry.

Responsibilities

• Lead estimating, value management, variance tracking and market input.
• Coordinate design schedule and deliverables; manage preconstruction deliverables.
• Identify and mitigate risks in the design phase; lead GMP development.
• Direct estimating, purchasing and operations teams for project estimates and buyout.
• Ensure continuity from pursuit phase through GMP and trade partner buyout.
• Collaborate with Sales, BD and client teams to align strategy and goals.
