Job summary

Gilbane Building Company seeks a Preconstruction Manager to lead the design/preconstruction phase for multiple projects or a single complex project. You will coordinate with the Project Executive and act as proxy when needed, guiding teams across estimating, scheduling, and buyout to ensure successful GMP development.

You will build high-performing teams, leverage market insights, and maintain strong client and partner relationships throughout design and preconstruction phases.

• Manages estimating, value management, variance tracking, market input.
• Leads logistics, schedule and VDC.
• Coordinates design schedule and deliverables.
• Identifies and mitigates project risks in the design phase.
• Identifies and executes fee enhancement strategies.
• Manages preconstruction deliverables per contract.
