Job summary

Schneider Electric in the United States seeks a Preconstruction Manager of Complex Infrastructure Projects to own the preconstruction process from concept and design development through subcontractor selection, construction readiness, and turnover to the delivery team.

You will lead strategy, constructability input, value engineering, estimating and scheduling coordination with engineering, procurement, clients, and field teams to ensure safe, on‑time, and within‑budget delivery of high‑impact

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related discipline from an accredited university, or an equivalent combination of education and significant construction experience.
• Eight or more years of progressively responsible experience in general contracting, design-build, EPC, construction management, project management, field operations, estimating, or preconstruction.

Responsibilities

• Lead the preconstruction process, establishing project plans, milestones, responsibilities, and decision requirements.
• Evaluate project requirements, delivery methods, design maturity, scope interfaces, and market conditions.
• Coordinate with Solution Architect, Engineering, Operations, Procurement, Estimating, Scheduling, and field leadership to maintain alignment and timely decisions.
• Provide constructability input and lead design-to-budget discussions.
• Develop estimating and bid-package strategy; support subcontractor and vendor selection.
• Develop construction sequencing, phasing, and logistics with the scheduler and ensure practical, resourced plans.
• Maintain risk registers and lead preconstruction meetings with clients and stakeholders.
• Lead formal turnover readiness to the construction team and capture lessons learned.
