Job summary

Omega Construction, Inc. seeks an experienced Preconstruction Manager to lead estimating and proposals across a variety of project delivery methods.

You will produce accurate budgets and final proposals while supporting a collaborative preconstruction team and protecting Omega's interests at every stage. You’ll guide preliminary budgets, hard bids, negotiated contracts, and design/build work; analyze bid documents; and coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams to win

Qualifications

• Prior experience in construction estimating or project management.
• Proficiency in Sage Estimating, PlanSwift, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Lead estimating and preconstruction strategy across multiple delivery methods.
• Analyze bid documents to define scopes of work and develop accurate estimates.
• Develop and distribute bid packages and manage subcontractor/supplier solicitation.
• Build out cost-of-work pricing, general conditions, site logistics, and schedule verification with operations.
• Perform quantity takeoffs for self-performed and unit price scopes of work.
• Direct the preconstruction team on solicitation efforts, lodging rates, and pricing of general conditions.
• Review subcontractor and vendor quotes and conduct detailed scoping.
• Attend pre-bid conferences, prepare RFIs, and maintain historical cost data.
• Collaborate with Marketing and VP of Preconstruction on proposals and winning strategies.
• Manage multiple active preconstruction efforts simultaneously.
