Job summary

QTS Data Centers is seeking a Development Preconstruction & Cost Management Leader in Phoenix to drive cost certainty and schedule optimization across a growing data center portfolio. You will bridge Development, Design, Procurement, Construction, Operations and Finance, establishing budgets, forecasts and risk assessments to position projects for successful execution and long-term operational excellence.

The role requires a track record in hyperscale or mission-critical projects, strong cost

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, Cost Engineering, Real Estate Development, or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in data center development, preconstruction, cost management, estimating, construction management, or mission-critical infrastructure.
• Experience with hyperscale, colocation, mission-critical facilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead ROM, conceptual, schematic, design development, and issued-for-construction estimates for hyperscale data center projects.
• Develop cost models using historical data, market intelligence, and industry benchmarks.
• Establish project budgets and monitor expenditures across lifecycle.
• Coordinate with Development, Design, Procurement, Construction, and Finance to ensure readiness.
