Job summary

QTS Data Centers is seeking a Development Preconstruction & Cost Management Leader to drive cost certainty, budgeting, and schedule optimization across hyperscale data center projects. You will bridge Development, Design, Procurement, Construction, Operations and Finance to ensure proper scoping, estimation, and readiness.

The role oversees ROM and construction estimates, benchmarked against market data, while leading cost governance and executive reporting to support growth objectives.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in data center development, preconstruction, cost management, estimating, or related fields.
• Experience supporting hyperscale, colocation, or mission-critical projects.
• Strong budgeting, forecasting, cost control and executive reporting skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead preconstruction management from initiation through construction.
• Develop cost governance frameworks, budgets, and long-range plans.
• Coordinate with Architecture, Design, Procurement, Construction, and Finance to ensure budget alignment.
• Provide executive-level cost reporting, risk analyses, and contingency planning.
• Mentor development, estimating, and preconstruction personnel.
