Job summary

SIG SAUER, Inc. is seeking a Tool & Cutter Grinder for the 1st shift in New Hampshire. You will set up and operate grinder machines to sharpen a wide variety of cutting tools, interpreting blueprints and specifications. The role requires 5+ years of experience and strong precision skills.

Work environment is manufacturing-focused with safety and ISO procedures. Regular attendance and potential overtime may apply to meet production goals.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of proven experience in tool and cutter grinding.
• Strong knowledge of tool grinding principles and techniques.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Proficiency in using precision measuring instruments for quality control.
• Basic knowledge of troubleshooting grinding processes.

Responsibilities

• Set-up and operate various cutter and tool grinding machines to sharpen a wide variety of tools for production work.
• Sharpen gun drills, boring bars, broaches, endmills, cutters, reamers, and taps.
• Manual tool grinding and/or machining with some CNC grinding.
• Grind cutters and tools with minimal variation from specified dimensions.
• Produce quality work and meet production objectives.
• Participate in 5S and sustainment activities; ensure safety and ISO procedures.
