Job summary

Calqulate Metrics Ltd is seeking a Senior Product Design Engineer to design and develop precision products and custom assemblies from concept through production release, combining mechanical design, analysis, prototype evaluation, and close collaboration with customers and manufacturing teams.

You will translate requirements into specifications, create 3D CAD models and drawings, perform tolerancing, and support design reviews and changes.

Qualifications

• Designing mechanical products or precision engineered assemblies through production release.
• Proficiency with 3D CAD, detailed drawings, GD&T, tolerance analysis, and engineering change control.
• Strong understanding of materials, manufacturing methods, mechanical interfaces, and design verification.
• Ability to independently manage technical work, document decisions, and collaborate across functions.

Responsibilities

• Translate customer requirements and application conditions into product specifications and detailed design concepts.
• Create and maintain 3D CAD models, production drawings, bills of materials, and design documentation.
• Perform engineering calculations, material selection, tolerance analysis, and design risk assessments.
• Design components and assemblies with temperature, pressure, sealing, interfaces, and manufacturability considerations.
• Develop prototype and validation plans, evaluate test results, and refine designs to meet performance requirements.
• Lead or contribute to design reviews and resolve technical issues with engineering, manufacturing, quality, and suppliers.
• Support new product introduction, engineering changes, and troubleshooting of production or field performance concerns.
• Provide technical guidance to less experienced engineers and improve design practices and reusable engineering knowledge.
