Job summary

Accounting Search is seeking a Senior Product Design Engineer for a client manufacturing temperature sensors, compression seal fittings, and cable and harness assemblies. You will design and develop precision products from concept through production release, balancing mechanical design, analysis, prototyping, and customer collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Progressive experience designing mechanical products or precision assemblies through production release.
• Proficiency with 3D CAD, detailed drawings, GD&T, tolerance analysis, and ECR/ECN processes.
• Strong understanding of materials, manufacturing methods, mechanical interfaces, and design verification.

Responsibilities

• Translate customer requirements into product specifications and design concepts.
• Create and maintain 3D CAD models, drawings, BOMs, and design documents.
• Perform calculations, material selection, tolerance analysis, and design risk assessments.
• Design components with temperature, pressure, sealing, interfaces, and manufacturability in mind.
• Develop prototype and validation plans, evaluate tests, and refine designs for performance.
