Job summary

Flowserve is seeking a Machinist to produce and repair components for critical pump equipment used in regulated industries. You will work with manual and CNC machines, interpret engineering drawings, apply GD&T and perform precision measurements to meet tight tolerances.

The ideal candidate brings 5+ years of machining experience, reads blueprints, and maintains calibration of measuring tools while documenting results.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of machining experience operating manual machine tools in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, GD&T, tolerances, and surface finish requirements.
• Experience using precision measuring and inspection equipment such as micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, and depth gauges.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Windows-based systems.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate manual and CNC machine tools including engine lathes, milling machines, horizontal boring mills, and vertical turret lathes.
• Machine, repair, and refurbish pump components to engineering specifications and customer requirements.
• Interpret blueprints, drawings, specifications, and GD&T to ensure accurate part manufacturing and repair.
• Perform in-process and final dimensional inspections using precision measuring equipment.
• Verify calibration status of measuring and inspection equipment prior to use and report discrepancies.
• Document machining and inspection results while maintaining accurate quality records and production documentation.
• Collaborate with Quality, Engineering, and Operations teams to resolve technical issues and improve manufacturing processes.
• Ensure compliance with safety, cleanliness, FME, and quality requirements throughout the manufacturing process.
