Job summary

McCarl's is seeking a Senior Manufacturing Leader to direct all aspects of precision machining and fabrication. You will oversee CNC and manual operations, production scheduling, cost control, and customer project execution from quotation through invoice.

The role emphasizes leadership of machinists and maintenance staff, ERP/MES integration, and strategic procurement to maximize profitability and on-time delivery. A strong background in manufacturing systems is required.

Qualifications

• Requires an associate or bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, Business, Operations Management or related field (or equivalent).
• 10+ years in manufacturing/machine shop, with 5+ years in leadership.
• Proven experience with CNC operations, estimating, procurement, maintenance, job costing, and scheduling.
• Ability to read blueprints and GD&T.
• Knowledge of CNC processes, tooling, cost accounting, procurement, inventory and maintenance planning.
• Strong communication, multitasking, and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Direct daily machine shop operations including CNC/manual machining, fabrication, assembly, and secondary processing.
• Develop and manage production schedules to meet delivery commitments.
• Monitor capacity, labor, machine utilization, throughput, quality, delivery, and cost.
• Establish standards, procedures, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure safety compliance and review RFQs, drawings, and specs.
• Develop cost estimates for labor, materials, outside processing, tooling, and equipment.
• Analyze historical data to improve profitability and identify value-engineering opportunities.
• Develop sourcing strategies and manage supplier relationships, pricing, and PO lifecycle.
• Oversee preventive maintenance programs and capital expenditure plans.
• Prepare monthly operational and financial reports and support budgeting.
