Job summary

McCarl's is seeking a seasoned leader to direct all machining and fabrication operations at Armstrong Precision Manufacturing. You will oversee CNC and manual work, production scheduling, cost reporting, and supplier management to ensure on-time delivery and profitability.

The role demands deep expertise in CNC machining, estimating, procurement, and financial performance, with a track record of leading cross-functional teams in a dynamic shop environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Associate degree in manufacturing, engineering, or related field.
• 10+ years of manufacturing or machine shop experience, with 5+ in leadership.
• Experience with CNC, estimating/quoting, procurement, maintenance, job costing, and scheduling.
• Ability to read blueprints and GD&T.
• Strong MS Office and manufacturing systems proficiency.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and build supplier relationships.

Responsibilities

• Direct daily machine shop operations incl. CNC and fabrication.
• Develop and manage production schedules to meet delivery commitments.
• Monitor capacity, labor, and cost performance.
• Establish standards and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Review RFQs, drawings, and technical requirements.
• Lead and mentor machinists and staff.
